Amendment Post - The Crowns of Ethiopia

We have to our shock been informed by one of our fans that we forgot to feature the Crowns from the former Empire of Ethiopia. Here is our belated amendment to our blog.

Ethiopia/Adis Ababa/Cathedral of Catherine of St George (Permanent Display 2crowns)

The Crown of Hallie Selassie

The Empress' Crown

These two crowns featured as the coronation regalia of the last Emperor and Empress of Ethiopia.

Ethiopia/Axum/Axum Cathedral (Periodic Display more than 10crowns)

Older Emperor's Crown

Another Older Emperor's Crown.

The Axum Treasure contains several antique crowns, many in a dilapidated state and not all from gold and precious stones. We have only featured the major ones here.

    1. Thank you for your comments. The first two were for the use of Hallie Selassi and his wife. The others and also some not even shared in this blog post must have belonged to previous monarchs. I am not an expert on the Ethiopian monarchs so I can't answer.
